Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 21 October 2026

These Terms and Conditions apply to bookings made with Travnia for stays, packages, activities, experiences and related travel services. Some properties, fixed departures, activities or packages may have additional or different conditions. Where specific conditions are clearly communicated before booking confirmation, those conditions will apply to that booking. 1. Enquiries and booking confirmation Submitting an enquiry does not confirm a booking or lock the displayed price. Availability and prices may change until Travnia confirms the booking and receives the required advance payment. A booking is considered confirmed only after: • Travnia verifies availability. • The required advance payment is received. • Travnia sends booking confirmation through WhatsApp, email or another confirmed communication channel. The rates applicable at the time of confirmed booking will apply. 2. Advance payment and balance Unless different terms are stated for a specific package or departure, a 50% advance payment is required to confirm the booking. The remaining balance must be paid according to the payment schedule communicated in the booking confirmation. For standard stays and packages, any remaining balance and approved extras must be settled before checkout. Fixed departures, special programmes or selected experiences may require the balance earlier. The applicable deadline will be communicated before confirmation. 3. Standard cancellation policy Unless a stay, package or fixed departure carries its own cancellation terms, the following policy applies. Cancellation charges are based on the total confirmed booking value, not just the advance paid. Any eligible refund is calculated from payments received, after deducting the applicable cancellation charge: • Cancellation 15 days or more before the scheduled arrival date: 30% cancellation charge. The remaining eligible amount will be refunded. • Cancellation 4 to 14 days before arrival: 50% cancellation charge. • Cancellation 0 to 3 days before arrival: 100% cancellation charge. No refund. • No-show: No refund. Eligible refunds are normally processed within 10 to 15 working days. 4. Rescheduling Rescheduling requests are handled manually and remain subject to availability. Where rescheduling is approved under the applicable booking terms, the revised trip may be used within the permitted validity period communicated by Travnia. For standard applicable bookings, this may be up to 12 months from the original travel date. Any difference in price resulting from new dates, season, accommodation, activities or other requested changes may need to be paid by the guest. Fixed departures and special programmes may have different rescheduling conditions. 5. Package-specific and fixed-departure conditions Certain experiences, including fixed-batch programmes, may have their own advance payment, cancellation, transfer, rescheduling or balance-payment rules. These conditions will be shown or communicated before the booking is confirmed. Where package-specific conditions differ from these general Terms and Conditions, the package-specific conditions will apply to that booking. 6. Weather, river and outdoor conditions Many Travnia experiences take place in natural environments. River activities, canyon programmes, treks, waterfalls, trails and outdoor experiences depend on factors such as: • Weather • Water level and river flow • Trail and road conditions • Local conditions • Participant suitability • Safety assessment by guides or activity staff Travnia or the operating team may modify, postpone, shorten, replace or cancel an activity when conditions are considered unsuitable. Safety decisions made by guides, instructors or the operating team must be followed. 7. Changes when an activity becomes unsafe Where an included activity cannot safely operate, Travnia may adjust the programme according to the circumstances. Depending on the booking and available alternatives, this may include rescheduling the activity, changing the programme, recalculating the applicable stay and activity cost, or providing the appropriate difference where applicable. The exact option will depend on the package, conditions and stage of the trip. 8. Guest safety and participation Guests participating in adventure activities must follow all instructions given by guides and instructors. Required safety equipment must be used whenever instructed. Guests should disclose relevant medical conditions, injuries or other factors that may affect safe participation before joining an activity. Participation may be refused or modified where the operating team considers an activity unsuitable for a guest because of health, fitness, age, body condition, weather or environmental conditions. 9. Children and activity eligibility Child policies may vary between stays, packages and activities. The applicable age, stay rate and activity eligibility will be shown or communicated with the relevant product. Some outdoor or adventure activities may have stricter minimum-age or suitability requirements than the accommodation itself. 10. Accommodation Accommodation arrangements follow the stay or package confirmed at the time of booking. Room, cottage, tent or property allocation may depend on availability and the selected package arrangement. For packages using a pool of approved properties, Travnia may confirm the final property before travel. Any specific accommodation preference should be communicated before confirmation. A preference is not guaranteed unless Travnia explicitly confirms it. 11. Check-in and check-out Property-specific check-in and check-out times may apply. For Dangkyong Adventure Camp: Check-in: 11:30 AM Check-out: 10:30 AM Any different arrangement must be confirmed in advance. 12. Meals and special requirements Meals are provided according to the confirmed stay or package. Guests should communicate vegetarian, dietary or other special meal requirements before travel. Travnia and partner properties will try to accommodate reasonable requests, but availability may depend on the location and local resources. 13. Transport Transport is not automatically included unless it is specifically mentioned in the selected package. Pickup and drop assistance may be available for selected destinations and routes at an additional cost. The vehicle type, pickup point, drop point and price must be confirmed separately where transport is requested. Road conditions and journey times in hill and rural areas may vary. 14. Pets Pet policies may differ by property. Where a property is marked pet-friendly, owners remain responsible for supervising and controlling their pets. Guests must clean up after their pets and prevent disturbance to other guests, staff or the local community. At Dangkyong Adventure Camp, pets should be kept away from food preparation areas and activity equipment unless permitted by the camp team. 15. Alcohol, smoking and guest conduct Property and programme-specific restrictions may apply. At Dangkyong Adventure Camp, guests may bring their own alcohol and consume it responsibly. The camp does not sell or provide alcohol. Alcohol consumption must not disturb other guests, staff or the surrounding community. Alcohol may be prohibited before or during certain treks, canyon programmes or adventure activities. Smoking may also be restricted in activity zones, canyon sections or other sensitive areas. Guests must follow the specific rules communicated for their stay or programme. 16. Noise and local environment Guests are expected to respect local residents, other travellers and the natural environment. Loudspeakers may be prohibited at certain camps and programmes. At Dangkyong Adventure Camp, small personal Bluetooth speakers may be used responsibly, but loud music and disturbance are not permitted. Quiet periods and property-specific rules should be respected where communicated. 17. River and restricted areas after dark Access to rivers, canyon sections, trails or areas away from the accommodation after dark may be restricted. At Dangkyong Adventure Camp, guests should not enter river or away-from-camp areas after dark without approval from the operating team. 18. Responsible behaviour Travnia works in rural communities and natural environments. Guests are expected to: • Avoid littering. • Respect local customs and residents. • Avoid damaging plants, rivers, trails, camps or community property. • Follow waste-management instructions. • Use water and other local resources responsibly. • Follow guide and host instructions in environmentally or culturally sensitive areas. 19. Personal belongings Guests remain responsible for their personal belongings during stays, transfers and activities. Travnia, partner properties and activity teams should be informed promptly if an item is lost or damaged so reasonable assistance can be provided. 20. Prices and changes Website prices represent the current rates configured by Travnia. An enquiry does not lock a rate. The price is locked only after Travnia confirms the booking and receives the required advance. If a guest returns later without a confirmed booking, the current rate at that time will apply. Any additions or changes requested after confirmation may affect the final amount. 21. Force majeure and circumstances beyond control Travel in mountain, river and rural destinations may be affected by weather, landslides, road closures, natural events, government restrictions, strikes, local emergencies or other circumstances beyond reasonable control. Travnia may need to change routes, accommodation, activities, schedules or other arrangements in such situations. Where Travnia itself cancels a confirmed programme and cannot provide the booked service, the applicable refund, rescheduling or transfer arrangement will be communicated according to the relevant booking conditions. 22. Information provided by guests Guests are responsible for providing correct contact details, traveller information, age information, travel dates and any relevant health or activity information required for the booking. Incorrect or incomplete information may affect accommodation allocation, activity eligibility, transport or other arrangements. 23. Website information Travnia aims to keep destination information, rates, activity details, photographs and availability information accurate. Conditions in rural destinations can change. Road access, river conditions, accommodation availability, activities and local services may differ from what was available when website content was last updated. Important booking details will be reconfirmed before travel where necessary. 24. Acceptance of terms By making the required advance payment and accepting a Travnia booking confirmation, the guest accepts these Terms and Conditions together with any specific conditions communicated for the selected stay, package, activity or experience. 25. Contact For questions regarding a booking, cancellation, rescheduling, refund or these Terms and Conditions, contact Travnia through the contact information provided on the website.
